KINEGIS

Friendly Force Protection System

KINEGIS identifies friendly forces before a shot is ever taken - and holds the safety layer in place while the situation moves.

The problem

The hardest question in the field
is not where the threat is.

It is being certain, in the half-second you have, who is not one.

Identification failures happen under exactly the conditions that make them hardest to avoid: low light, broken terrain, dispersed units, converging forces and compressed decision time. KINEGIS exists to remove that judgment from the moment of pressure and settle it in advance.

Low-visibility field conditions in which visual identification of friendly forces becomes unreliable.

How it works

Identify. Verify.
Protect. Prevent.

Four stages, running continuously, so protection is a standing state rather than a reaction.

01

Identify

Recognises friendly forces by their assigned identifying mark, without requiring the operator to interpret the scene.

02

Verify

Validation is continuous, not a single check. The system re-confirms as people, vehicles and conditions move.

03

Protect

An intelligent safety control layer holds while a verified friendly remains identified in the engagement path.

04

Prevent

The outcome the whole system is built for: fewer identification failures, and fewer losses that were never the enemy’s to take.

The device

Look closer.

Move your cursor across the unit — or tilt your phone — to see it from different angles.

The KINEGIS handheld unit: ruggedised body, optical module at the front, identification display on the upper face.

Inside the unit

Seven parts.
One job.

Every element exists to answer one question faster and more reliably than a person can under pressure: is what I am looking at one of ours?

01

Optical module

High-performance lens with low-light sensitivity, so recognition holds as the light goes.

02

Identification display

Shows who has been recognised and verified, and how confident the system is in that call.

03

Edge AI processing

Recognition runs on the device itself. No connection required, and no imagery leaves the unit.

04

Power and housing

Rechargeable lithium-ion in a sealed composite shell with integrated mounts, built to be carried all day.

Interactive concept

Take it apart.

Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, and move the slider to separate the unit into its modules.

The safety layer

It moves
with the force.

Identification is not a snapshot. Units disperse, regroup, and cross each other’s axes of advance. KINEGIS maintains the identified picture as that happens, so the protective state stays accurate while the situation changes around it.

The same layer extends to supporting assets overhead, keeping one shared understanding of who is friendly across the whole element.

Dispersed soldiers each carrying a verified friendly identification frame, linked to an overhead asset.

Inside the programme

MAC4 Locator.

The companion application in the KINEGIS programme. Locator provides the friendly-position awareness layer — real-time relative positioning of every member of the element, presented directly in the operator’s view.

Where KINEGIS answers who is friendly, Locator answers where they are. Together they make the identified picture something the whole team shares.

Networked view of friendly positions shared across a dispersed team.

The app

KINEGIS in your hand.

The KINEGIS companion app puts the friendly-position picture in the operator’s view — real-time relative positioning of every member of the element, in three dimensions, on the device already in their pocket.
